Tanzania has no bad month. It has months that suit different things, and months that cost very different amounts.
Two things move with the calendar: where the animals are, and what a bed costs. They do not move together. The green season is cheaper and quieter and it is also when the calving happens, which is why some guides prefer it to the crossings.
Park fees are set by government and do not discount. So a low-season trip is cheaper on accommodation and identical on fees.
