01 · Why us
Every safari company says it is passionate about wildlife and that its guides are the best. None of that is checkable, so here is what is.
The useful questions about a safari operator are structural: who owns the vehicle, who employs the guide, who answers the phone when something goes wrong, and what happens to your money between deposit and departure.
Below is how we answer those. Where a claim would need a number we have not published yet, it says so rather than rounding up.

What actually differs between operators
We are the operator, not a reseller
A large share of safaris sold online are sold by agents who subcontract to whichever local operator quoted lowest. You are then a line in somebody else’s spreadsheet. Here the company that sells you the trip is the company that drives it.
Guides are employed
Not hired per trip from a pool. It costs more and it is the single biggest quality difference on the ground, because a guide with a salary and a next month behaves differently from one without.
The itinerary is a starting shape, not a fixed product
Every route on this site gets rebuilt around your dates, your party and your pace. Nothing here is a packaged departure you must fit into.
We tell you where the money goes
Park fees, concession fees, camp rates and vehicle costs are separable and we will separate them for you. It is the only way to compare two quotes honestly.
We decline things
There are activities sold in Tanzania — some of them popular — that we will not put guests into on welfare or safety grounds. We would rather lose a booking than run one.
03 · The numbers
Fleet, staff and guests carried
Vehicles, staff count, guests per year and founding year — To confirm. We publish no statistic we cannot evidence.
